Tools for Schools Student Award Program

Our objective with the Student Award Program is two-fold:

To give students the extra incentive to achieve superior results, and to give the instructors a means to reward work well done. Midlands Construction College Ltd can nominate one student, per trade specialty. The student will receive a congratulatory letter, a certificate, and a complimentary brick, concrete finishing, drywall, plastering or tiling trowel and a cap from MARSHALLTOWN.

How the program works:

MARSHALLTOWN awards students through their Vo-Tech instructors. All materials are sent directly to the instructor at Midlands Construction College Ltd, who then presents the award to the deserving student. First, an instructor chooses a student (one per school, per term*) who has excelled in the masonry, concrete finishing, drywall, plastering, EIFS, or tile program. This student should be actively training for a career in the "trowel trades." *Schools that offer separate trowel programs in more than one trade may nominate a student for each trade (masonry, concrete, drywall, plastering, EIFS, or tile)

Next, the student is nominated by Midlands Construction College Ltd by sending us the student's name and information on a MARSHALLTOWN Student Award Nomination Form or on official school letterhead. The information includes the student's trowel preference.

Then, MARSHALLTOWN will send the award materials to the Midlands Construction College Ltd: a letter of commendation, a certificate, and a MARSHALLTOWN trowel and cap.
